Welcome to the Revolutionary Ramble and to Rambleride.org, where you can check out our rides, our territory, its history, and, most importantly, sign up for Ramble 9.
We’ve been hosting the Ramble each year since 2009. Today, it is known as one of the most scenic and well run cycling tours in the mid-Atlantic region.
It’s also a charity fund raiser. Last year, we gave over $30,000 to volunteer emergency squads in Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset and Sussex Counties.
The Ramble has rides for people of all ages and abilities. For novice riders and parents who wish to bring their young children, we offer a guided 10-mile ride. You pay only $5 to register your child.
For experienced cyclists we’ve mapped out a 65-mile and a 100-mile ride.
Riders of varying experience can select a 25, 35 or 50-mile ride, each with rest stops with snacks and drinks. We support all our riders with SAGs and ride marshals. All routes are marked with painted arrows. We supply cue sheets and Garmin files as well.
Our riders cycle through some of the most beautiful areas of New Jersey, passing farmhouses, historic sites, fields, forests, lakes and rivers on the least trafficked roads we’ve been able to find. Add to that the excitement of joining hundreds of other riders on the road and giving it your all.
Our start point for Ramble 9 will be Drew University. Drew has renovated its dining hall where our riders will meet after the rides for a grand buffet lunch. After lunch you can get a free massage and visit our Expo—a display of bicycle innovations, products, and info.
Our 2017 rates start at $55. You can get the lowest rate if you register on or before February 15. The first 500 registrants will get a free Ramble T-shirt.
Join us for this year’s Ramble. We are an all volunteer group. We work very hard to present it to you. It’s great fun, it’s great exercise—all with great people!
